On March 13th, 2007, the two-year anniversary of the plane crash, Sony Entertainment was anonymously given a note which encourages the Twisted Metal team to release the unfinished work to the public, showing disapproval over the idea to keep the project under wraps. After a plane crash took the lives of six of the game's key developers, Harbor City was cancelled. In Harbor City, players could exit their vehicles in order to walk around the open area freely. Harbor City was set to be an open world game similar to the "Grand Theft Auto" series. All of this, fully Open Source and free to download.The Extra Twisted Edition of "Twisted Metal: Head-On" includes the remnants of the cancelled game "Twisted Metal: Harbor City", a direct sequel to "Twisted Metal: Black". Dolphin Emulator allows these classic games to be reborn into the modern era with support for 4K displays, modern controllers, and much, much more. "Return to an era of gaming before the advent of microtransactions and experience a diverse library of thousands of titles that were released for these consoles over a span of 15+ years. This version of Dolphin will arrive in the form of Early Access as the developers behind Dolphin would like to "solicit feedback on what features Steam users would be interested in before we proceed with a full release." Early access is planned to end before 2023 comes to a close, though, so a full release should be right around the corner. Announced this week, Dolphin is planned to release on Steam at an undetermined date in Q2 2023 (April-June).
